I’ve rounded up my top self-care items perfect for anyone on your holiday list who might appreciate a little self-care indulgence. All beauty/body related items are cruelty-free.
I find Christmas shopping to be somewhat stressful but it does help to do most of it from the comfort of my couch ~ the homebody in me does not enjoy the chaos of store shopping!
I love receiving self-care items as gifts so I figured I’d gather a few favorites for anyone on your list in need of some self-care this holiday season (or feel free to forward this list to someone who’s shopping for you!).

Lately I’ve been curled up at night devouring this book. It’s perfect for anyone who’s ever struggled with feeling like they “belong,” whether in their own family or in other social circles. Brené opens with this quote from Maya Angelou:
“You only are free when you realize you belong no place — you belong every place — no place at all. The price is high. The reward is great.” – Maya Angelou
Maya Angelou was one of Brené’s greatest mentors but she could never understand this quote as it contradicted everything she believed – that we must find our tribe to feel safe, seen and loved. Through her powerful storytelling, the book then walks readers through her awakening around the wisdom of this quote and takes you on a journey of finding belonging deep within yourself. This one is filled with cinnamon, clove and eucalyptus and can be used for stress relief or to simply soothe sore muscles. You can also put it in the freezer and use it for sports injuries or to keep you cool. My kids also love using the one we have and I find it helps to calm them down.
They also have a lavender and chamomile eye pillow for easing stress, headaches and tension.
These three beautiful notebooks by Rifle Paper Co. were given to me as a gift from one of my closest friends and I absolutely cherish them. I use them to take notes on courses I’m taking, affirmations I want to remind myself of, and quotes I find inspiring. They’re thin so I can easily put them in my purse. They come bound in twine are a perfect gift for those who adore pretty stationary.
Here’s another set by Rifle Paper Co. with a slightly different color scheme.
This is something that’s on my Christmas list, especially after reading the reviews and scanning through the first few pages. And I will certainly be gifting it to others.
This journal has over 150 pages of prompts and beautiful soothing images promising to help you find all the answers you seek, within yourself. Seems like a great companion to Braving the Wilderness.
Here are a few other inspiring journals that would also make great gifts: Start Where You Are: A Journal for Self-Exploration ~ Soar Journal ~She Believed She Could So She Did Pink Notebook
These candles smell amazing and their simple design can fit in with most people’s home decor.
The Winter Wonderland set comes in Hot Cocoa, Roasted Chestnut and First Snow scents.
The Happy Holidays set comes in Christmas Tree, Candy Cane and Gingerbread scents.
The Fall Harvest set comes in Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry and Autumn Leaves scents.
These are handmade in the USA and each candle burns for 25 – 30 hours. They are free of paragon and phthalates.
I love these lip balms and they would make a great stocking stuffer. I can’t stand how most chapsticks leave my lips feeling even more chapped twenty minutes after I’ve used them. Not with these. They keep my lips feeling silky, smooth and moisturized and they smell amazing. They feel like you’re drenching your lips in essential oils.
These are 100% vegan and cruelty free and have no synthetic flavors fragrance, preservatives, paragon, sulphates or petrochemicals. They’re enriched with Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, and pure steam distilled essential oils.
They come in a set of five flavors. My favorites are the Lavender and Rose.
I love these bath bombs and with these ingredients I even feel good letting my kids use them.
These bath bombs are vegan and gluten free, have no toxic fragrances, dyes or colors and are made of organic ingredients and essential oils. And they come in a pretty tin box with six different blends 🙂
Salt lamps have so many holistic benefits.
They are known to reduce allergy and asthma symptoms, increase energy levels, release negative ions that purify the air, neutralize electromagnetic radiation, help you sleep better and improve your mood and concentration.
I recently read an article about the detrimental effects of all the electromagnetic radiation we’re drowning in from our electronics. Sea salt lamps help to combat that radiation making them a great gift for anyone trying to improve their self-care.
This one comes already packaged as a gift.
Essential oils are clearly a priority on my self-care list 😉
If you’d like to introduce a family member or friend to essential oils, this is a great starter kit by Plant Therapy. This is the brand and diffuser we currently use in our family and we love them. I talk about them more in this self-care post.
This is my favorite brand of organic teas and the Tumeric Ginger blend is so addicting.
It’s slightly spicy, slightly sweet and has hints of lemongrass, licorice and orange. It’s one of the most interesting teas I’ve ever tasted and is so full bodied, I don’t need to add anything to it. This is perfect for any tea lovers on your list.
This loose leaf tea is organic, ayurvedic, caffein free, organic and fair trade.
Rishi makes a great loose leaf teapot to go with it.
I hope this list has been helpful! Happy Holiday Shopping! 🙂
